The Joy of Cycling around the Bassin d’Arcachon
Exploring by bike makes for a lovely day out. Lège in the north is 27 kilometres from the point of Cap Ferret in the south and nearly 60 kilometres of cycle paths criss-cross the peninsula, running along the sea and through the pine forests, making it one of the most developed networks in Gironde.
Get some sea air by taking the cycle path from the Grand Crohot beach down to the lovely fishing village of Cap Ferret.
You can cycle the length of the coast and stop for a break to take in the magnificent ocean views. All of our villages are equipped with cycle paths for your security so head to the villages of L’Herbe or Le Canon (amongst others!) in complete safety.
If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, take the cycle paths from the pine forest in Lège to Andernos-les-Bains and discover the Gallo-Roman remains of this historic town.
